Apply for People & Company’s
Community Strategy
Office Hours
We love taking pro-bono calls with standout community leaders.
You could be organizing a longstanding neighborhood run club or at the helm of a volunteer network of lawyer activists. Tell us what's on your mind in the form below to apply for one of our community strategy office hour slots.
The sessions are usually 45 minutes. We focus on asking questions—helping community leaders zoom out, gut check assumptions, and navigate pressing challenges or opportunities.
Who Office Hours Are For
Usually, these office hours are reserved for independent leaders, grassroots nonprofits and other cause-based groups. If you’re running a business, please check out our services.
Note: we’re prioritizing office hours with Black leaders to talk through community projects (of any type) as well as non-Black leaders starting new communities to combat racism or rallying existing communities around antiracism.
Here are some of the communities we’ve spent office hours with:
Slant’d - a community that celebrates Asian American Identity. Empowering real people to share real stories.
Game Devs of Color - an annual event that aims to create a new normal in games by putting creators of color at the forefront.
Homoground - a network of queer music and media creators.
Techfest Club - a community for women in tech in NYC, focused on keeping women in tech.
Selection Criteria
We got a lot of requests from incredible folks. Here’s the criteria we use to prioritize who to chat with:
Underrepresented groups - we prioritize people/orgs that are bringing together communities that are historically underestimated or underinvested in.
You’ve taken action - We don’t discuss hypothetical communities or ideas for new groups.
You’ve listened to our podcast or read our book - With a common language, we have more productive sessions.
Note: Unfortunately, we can’t respond to every application. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out. Thanks for doing what you do!
